***TUFFA Statement regarding Fire Protected Tanks***

Following much investment and R&D in the product, TUFFA is extremely proud of the Certification, and this means it is a lot easier for installers as the Assessment has approved the product to comply with Building Regulations. When a tank replacement is undertaken and the new installation requires fire protection measures, by fitting the Firestop bunded tank it allows the tank to remain in the same position. More preferable for the customer not having to relocate the tank to a position potentially unacceptable, and the physical restraints encountered by the installing engineer are relaxed.

• The TUFFA FireStop is designed for protecting oil tanks where fire protection is neccessary

• The fire barrier is constructed from high quality fire retardent material independently tested to BS476: Part 22: 1987

• The only system on the market that fits integrally onto our plastic bunded tanks and can also be manufactured in a steel tank.

• TUFFA FireStop is a simple method that requires no brickwork, barriers or firewalls to be erected on site making sure there are no delays in installing the tank

• TUFFA FireStop meets the requirements of BS5410: Part 1: Section 6.3 (Methods of Tank Protection B, C), and is independently tested to BS476 (Warrington Fire Research Centre).

• TUFFA FireStop can be manufactured to fit any capacity tank and can range from 30 minute and 60 minute.

• Meets Section J 5.4 of Building Regulations, Table 5.1 for Fire Protection for Oil Storage Tanks.
