We are pleased to welcome two new members to the Tuffa production team this month.
Kane Falconer flying high
Local lad Kane Falconer, 20, from Uttoxeter, joins us from the assembly line at JCB to work in our plastic factory. Kane is on the team running our roto-moulding oven, loading the polymer into the mould, cooking, cooling then finishing the plastic tanks into top condition ready for the customer.
Away from work, Kane plays for football for local team, Bramshall in the Uttoxeter & District Football League, but has previously played at a semi-professional level for Leek Town. Kane is a lifelong Manchester United fan – but we won’t hold that against him…
Kane was pleased to get the opportunity to join Tuffa UK. “I’m really enjoying it here,” he said. “The lads on the oven are really friendly and it’s very satisfying to see the plastic tanks in various shapes and sizes being manufactured.”
Daniel cooking up a storm
Daniel Simpson also lives in Uttoxeter but originally comes from Kent. Dan came to us from the award-winning Denstone Farm Shop where he was a Chef. Things in the factory canteen are definitely looking up, and all the guys and girls are looking forward to the day Daniel cooks lunch for everyone!
Now Dan is cooking up a storm on our mezzanine level factory, making plastic weld tanks instead of paella or tapas!
“I was ready for a new challenge and I’m enjoying the factory environment,” he said. “The plastic weld tanks are a relatively new product for Tuffa and demand is high. It’s great to be part of a successful manufacturing company.”
Dan is married with a 3 year old son, and in what little spare time he gets enjoys carp fishing. His record is a 27lb carp – so far – although now he is fishing at Baden Hall Fishery he is after a rumoured 50lb carp in the lake there. We’ll bring you the pictures of Dan with that monster carp if he lands it.
