The project required safely decommissioning the existing unit and installing a fully compliant FirePro® system engineered to withstand strict fire safety regulations without sacrificing outdoor aesthetic appeal.
The Challenge
Standard domestic oil tank installations require significant clearance distances from adjacent structures, boundary lines, and non-fire-rated construction. At this residential property, space constraints made a conventional plastic or standard steel bunded oil tank placement virtually impossible under current OFTEC guidelines. The homeowner required a safe, space-efficient solution that allowed proximity to the stone building without costly, unsightly fire barriers.
The Solution
Eco Tank Services specified and installed a 1650L Steel Bunded FirePro® Oil Tank from Tuffa UK. Complete Decommissioning: The original tank was safely pumped out, disconnected, and removed from the site following environmental safety standards.

Fire-Rated Compliance: Utilising the FirePro® system provided 30-minute integral fire protection, satisfying all building regulations directly out of the box.
